Clinical CommBank ParaMatildas record their third consecutive win with 11-0 victory over Spain

In the early game of Saturday afternoon in Salou, Australia faced host nation Spain in their third game of the tournament.

Head coach Kelly Stirton opted for an unchanged line-up for the team that won the first two matches, with Georgia Beikoff donning the captain's armband.

Skipper Georgia Beikoff scored the quickest goal in the tournament so far, just 10 seconds into the match when she picked up the ball outside the box and fired her shot in.

Australia was able to double their advantage a short time later, Eloise Northam sending a dangerous throw into the box that was turned in for an own goal.

Beikoff turned provider, setting up Lainee Harrison for her first of the game. The youngster had her second - and Australia's fourth - capitalising off a poor pass out from the back by the Spanish defence.

Northam then got herself on the scoresheet, sending a shot from inside the centre circle into the back of the net. Rae Anderson then entered the game, replacing Harrison up top for her second appearance of the tournament. While Holly Saunders also entered the field, replacing Katelyn Smith, with the shot-stopper making her debut.

A quick-fire double from Beikoff gave Australia a 7-0 lead going into the break, however, she wasn't done there, scoring directly from the second half restart to net her 11th of the tournament.

Beikoff scored another in the 33rd minute as  Stirton made her second change of the day, Tahlia Blanshard being replaced by Nicole Christodoulou.

Another goal for the skipper made it 10 for the afternoon for Australia. Christodoulou rounded out the scoring with the 11th goal of the day before Matilda Mason entered the field to see out the win and ensure Australia kept a clean sheet.

Australia's next opponent USA, faced a 1-1 draw in their game against Japan. The CommBank ParaMatildas will play the USA in their final group stage match, already qualifying for the Gold Medal Match on Tuesday night with 3 wins.
